Due to the latest changes to Facebook's API, scheduling and publishing to Facebook personal Profiles will no longer be supported beginning August 1st, 2018. Scheduling and publishing functionalities for Facebook Pages will not be affected.
For Facebook pages, organic Facebook Post targeting based on gender and language will no longer be available, with age targeting being limited to 13, 17, 18, 19 or 21 only.
Facebook page mentions has also had some changes where previously you have to enter the full page name to tag a Facebook page. Now, you can enter the page name and a drop-down menu will populate. Once you select the correct Facebook page, then that page will be tagged and added to your post.
You can also schedule and publish posts to Facebook Groups. There are two things you need to do. One is to refresh your Facebook tokens and two, you need to add the MavSocial app within your group settings. We believe that the changes in scheduling and publishing to Facebook personal Profiles are part of Facebook's plan to decrease spam or misuse of personal Profiles and Pages, and to improve the quality of content for its users.
Here is some information from Facebook on why businesses are encouraged to use Pages and how you can convert your Profile.
Thank you for your understanding as our platform continues to evolve.
