UGC (User Generated Content) Curation allows you to obtain the legal rights to publish any image or video with just a few clicks!
After the image/video owner gives you the right to use it, you can download it directly to the Digital Library for future use.
You can also filter your UGC searches by asset type & network in Search and Saved tabs.
UGC is available for Instagram and Twitter.
How to search for UGC and request permission
- Search for a keyword, and results will display from Instagram and Twitter accounts.
All image and video posts containing your selected keyword will be displayed.
A maximum of 40 posts (20 for each network) related to that keyword are initially fetched. You can load more posts by clicking Load More.
For the Twitter network, it will search keywords and hashtags, and for Instagram, it will search mentions of the keyword. - You can save up to 10 search keywords for quick and easy future searching.
- You can also search posts by minimum likes count, and images or videos by using Advanced Search.
- Check the box beside the network you wish to search in the filter popup.
- Save a post by clicking the Save button on the desired post.
- Now Go to the Curated tab.
- Click on the Request button.
- Select the account and language from which you want to request usage of the image or video, and the reply text field will populate with your preformatted UGC message.
- You can customize the message, making sure to include a link to your Terms and Conditions before sending the request to the account user. You will also need to include a unique keyword hashtag for the user to respond with to give permission. An example for a hashtag keyword would be #iPadLove
- Pennant color changes to Yellow when you have sent a request to use the digital content.
- Once the owner has replied with your unique hashtag keyword, for example, #iPadLove, the Pennant color changes to Green.
- You can download the image/video by clicking on the Save to Digital Library button.
- After the image or video uploaded to the Digital Library, a notification will appear, reading “Saved to Digital Library”.
The Deleted Tab
Posts that were deleted from the search tab or saved tab appear here. They can be restored to their respective tabs by using the restore button.
Deleted posts will be kept in the deleted tab for 24 hours before they are removed completely.
Note:
- The Pennant color will change to black after overriding the post.
- Once the post is in the saved tab, it won't appear again in search results.
- If the post has not received any reply or comment containing the requested keyword in two weeks, the pennant color will change from Yellow to Red (No approval)
- You can request to use an image or video a maximum of 3 times.
- All the search keywords saved by a super admin will be shown to all team members irrespective of Brand and Teams.
- All posts saved by a super admin will be shown to all team members irrespective of Brand and Teams.
- Social listening will show the last seven days of Twitter posts for the search keyword, hashtag, or Twitter mentions.
