Instagram Story Publishing

Available for Enterprise, Business, PRO, and Advanced subscriptions.

Direct Publishing to Instagram requires you to add your Instagram Business Account to the MavSocial. Users can also schedule to Instagram through MavSocial and publish to Instagram using the native MavSocial mobile app.

How to Publish an Instagram Story with MavSocial

1. Navigate to Post Manager and select an Instagram profile.
   
2. Create your post and select any image, video, or multiple images (only via mobile app).
3. Press the Advanced Options button.
   
4. Select whether you want to publish directly or via the mobile app- you cannot do both.
   
   
5. Click Publish
6. If you are publishing using the MavSocial Mobile App, the user can manually publish the post as a story.

How to Identify Instagram Story Posts in the MavSocial App

Marking Instagram posts as a Story or Feed is used to help users identify whether the post is a Story post or a Feed post.

Steps to follow to differentiate Story vs Feed:

1. Go to the MavSocial Mobile App and tap the Campaigns tab.
2. Instagram Story posts will be captioned by "Publishing as Story", and Feed posts will be captioned with "Publishing as Feed".

Image Specifications

Format: JPEG

File size: 8 MB maximum.

Aspect ratio: Recommended 9:16 to avoid cropping or blank spaces.

Color Space: sRGB. Images using other color spaces will have their color spaces converted to sRGB.

Video

Format: MOV or MP4 (MPEG-4 Part 14)

Audio codec: AAC, 48khz sample rate maximum, 1 or 2 channels (mono or stereo).

Video codec: HEVC or H264, progressive scan, closed GOP, 4:2:0 chroma subsampling.

Frame rate: 23-60 FPS.

Picture size: Maximum columns (horizontal pixels): 1920

The required aspect ratio is between 0.01:1 and 10:1, but we recommend 9:16 to avoid cropping or blank spaces.

Video bitrate: VBR, 25Mbps maximum

Audio bitrate: 128kbps

Duration: 60 seconds maximum, 3 seconds minimum

File size: 100MB maximum

For direct publishing, only one video or one image can be published.

Note due to API restrictions:

MavSocial cannot add stickers and overlay text (caption) in Instagram Story Direct Publishing flow.

MavSocial cannot add polls or questions in Instagram Story Direct Publishing flow.

MavSocial cannot add music to the stories in Instagram Story Direct Publishing flow.
