Adding Content to the First Comment of an Instagram Post

Available to Enterprise, Business, PRO, and Advanced subscriptions. 

MavSocial’s Instagram First Comment feature allows you to add content to the first comment of your Instagram posts when publishing or scheduling posts from the Post Manager. 

Please note, due to restrictions in the current Instagram API, the First Comment feature is only available to Instagram Business accounts.

You can use this feature as two types.

1. Adding hashtags or text to the First comment of your posts
2. Selecting hashtags as the first comment by enabling toggle in Advanced Settings

How to Add Hashtags or Text to the First Comment of Your Posts

1. Navigate to Post Manager.
2. Click on the Instagram tab and select an Instagram Business account from the dropdown.
3. Craft your post by filling in the post description, and adding an Image or Video file.
4. Type any content or hashtags you wish to add to the first comment of your Instagram post.
   
5. Click Publish to post to Instagram, and your post will be uploaded with the first comment automatically added.
   
   

How to add automatically add hashtags to the first comment

This feature will allow you to have your hashtag groups added to the first comment box by default.

1. Navigate to Accounts-> Settings ->Advanced settings.
   
   
2. In Advanced Settings you can find the Instagram first comment On/Off Toggle. On means, if you want hashtag groups to be added to the first comment box automatically.
   
   
3.  Go to Post Manager, click on the Instagram tab.
   
   
4. You can see the Instagram first comment box and hashtags group dropdown.
   
   
5. Select any hashtag group, and it will be added to the first comment box since you have enabled the toggle in advanced settings.
   
   
6. Click Publish to post to Instagram, and your post will be published with the hashtags in the first comment.
   
   
7. If the toggle is off in advance settings, the Hashtag group will be added to the post description box.
   
   
8. Click Publish to post to Instagram, and your post will be uploaded with the hashtags in the post description.
