Personal vs. Business/Creator Instagram Accounts

In order to get the most out of your experience of using MavSocial, we recommend switching your Instagram Account to a business or creator account. With an Instagram business or creator account, you'll be able to:

• Enable auto-posting directly to Instagram
• View + respond to comments directly from the MavSocial app
• Discover + search for other Instagram business profiles
• Include location + user tags within your scheduled posts

Did you know? Your Instagram profile is personal by default; by converting your account to a business or creator profile, you can access insights regarding your posts and followers.

How to Change Your Personal Profile to a Business Profile

If you already have an active Facebook Business page, it will take you no more than a few minutes to change your Instagram Personal Account to a business or creator Account.

• The Facebook profile that you use to convert your Instagram profile must have admin rights.
• Make sure that your Instagram profile is set to public
• Go to settings (click the three parallel lines at the top right of the Instagram app and you will find settings at the bottom of the new window)
• Select ‘Switch to Business Profile’ or ‘Switch to Creator Profile’
• Choose the Facebook page that you want to connect to your Instagram business profile.
• Go to the profile setup page to ensure that the information there is as you want it. Choose a category for your business. Tap ‘Done’.

Now you can start direct publishing to your profile.
